In November we ran a cupcake competition to find the best festive cupcake decorator around. We had hundreds of fantastic entries and it was very hard whittling it down to our two eventual winners - Sheeren and Sandra.
Sheeren won with some wonderfully intricate penguin cupcakes and Sandra had a winning entry with cute red nose reindeer decorations.
On Friday 10th December the winners, food bloggers and some lucky people from Tesco Real Food gathered at The Make Lounge in North London for an afternoon of cupcake decorating alongside Mich Turner.
The Make Lounge is a gorgeous venue and a haven for craft minded people. It offers workshops, private parties and boasts a shop full of crafty goodies. It was the perfect place for our cupcake decorating workshop.
Mich Turner, owner of the award winning Little Venice Cake Company is well known as an authority on cake making and has made cakes for Gordon Ramsay, Cheryl Cole and even The Queen!
Her demonstration made the decorating look so easy and gave everyone some one on one time and by the end of the day everyone was turning out great cupcakes. They even tasted good too!
The day was a roaring success and big thank you's go to everyone who entered the competition, our winners, Mich Turner and The Make Lounge.
