This is my mother in law's recipe and I ♥ it!
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Lightly stir in the mashed bananas.
Sift together dry ingredients and fold in creamed mix alternately with milk and lemon juice.
Put mixture into a greased or lined cake tin. I usually use baking paper to line the cake tin
I usually use one larger tin - 33cm x 23 cm (13 inches x 9 inches)
Bake at 180° C. I use an electric oven but temp should be the same for gas. Times: for the larger tin approx. 45 mins and the round tin approx. 30 mins.
Never open the oven when you are baking the cake or else it will sink in the middle.
