In a large bowl, combine the Flour, yeast and salt.Stir in the oil and sufficient water to form a soft but not sticky dough.
Knead the dough until smooth on a surface lightly dusted with Flour.
Roll the dough into a 9” round approx ¼” in thickness.
Tomato sauce: Add garlic and onion with some olive oil to a pan cook until soft Add the tin of tomatoes and puree and simmer for 20 minutes until a smooth sauce.
Top pizza with the sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice.
Bake in a pre-heated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden.
Here are some of my favourite topping ideas:
Spinach and Goats Cheese. Mushroom, Red Onions and Mixed Peppers. Sundried tomatoes and feta cheese... have fun the combinations are endless.
This is the first GF homemade pizza I have ever made and it was a success, the dough took 5 minutes to make and was so easy to do. When the pizza was cooked I was pleasantly surprised by the base.
I cooked it for 12 minutes and the closest way to describe it was like a pitta bread. It was not the hard tooth breaking or cardboard effect which I have experienced before.
I let my husband and teenage son also try it for an opinion (they are not GF) and they liked it too.
I will definitely be making this again.
