Chinanadzi (pineapple drink)

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe pineapple
  • 1tsp ground ginger
  • 1tsp ground cloves
  • 25g (1oz) sugar

Each serving contains 75 calories, 18g sugar, 0g fat, 0g saturates and 0g salt.

Method

Peel and slice the pineapple and place in a bowl. Add the spices and sugar and pour over 1·2 litres (2 pints) of boiling water. Cover and allow to cool overnight. Strain the drink and serve over ice in tall glasses.
