Empty the tomatoes and mixed olives into a pan and add the garlic, spicy tomato ketchup, dried herbs and roasted peppers. Add the sugar and season with salt and pepper. Cover and heat gently for 10 mins, then add the olives and turn off the heat.
Meanwhile, bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti for 8 mins or according to the packet instructions, until it is al dente or tender with a slight bite. Drain the pasta, return to the pan, add the tomato sauce and toss together
For meat lovers, add a handful of pepperoni to the tomatoes sauce with the olives.
