Who can resist the smell of bacon sizzling in a pan before you make up the perfect bacon sandwich? Bacon sarnies are delicious but there are so many other ways to use this fry-up favourite. It's Bacon Connoisseurs Week and it's the perfect opportunity to celebrate with some scrumptious bacon inspired recipes.
Bacon is most commonly thought of as a breakfast food. Why not try something a bit different with our creamy Mini Bacon and Egg Tarts? They are perfect for relaxed weekend brunches.
Bacon and Leek Frittata is great as a light lunch or eaten for supper with some new potatoes and salad. It can also be made in advance and kept in the fridge so you can cut slices off whenever you fancy. For something to warm your cockles, try Bacon and Potato Chowder. It's a tasty and hearty soup that will keep you full and it's easy to make.
For something a bit different you could try Bacon-wrapped Salmon as a show stopping dinner party dish. Or try our Savoury Bread and Butter Pudding with bacon and onion as a comforting but different family supper.
If you fancy something a little bit lighter then Watercress, Roasted Tomato, Feta and Bacon Salad is a sure winner with dinner party guests or as an al fresco lunch for one as the weather gets warmer.
