Every year on March 17th people all over the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Named after the 5th century saint who, amongst other things is credited with driving all the snakes out of Ireland, the original colour associated with the day was blue but over the years the colour green triumphed. Today people wear green, display shamrocks and take part in marches to honour Ireland's patron saint. In Chicago, the river is even dyed green.
Why not get together with friends and have a traditionally Irish meal to celebrate?
No St. Patrick's Day meal would be complete without Irish Stew and if you're cooking for guests who can't eat gluten, our Gluten-Free Irish Stew will make sure they don't feel left out. Or if you want to include Ireland's most famous tipple, Beef and Guinness Stew is a dish that will be loved by everyone.
Finish your meal with decadent Bailey's Hazelnut Flavour Scoops.
For something at teatime, try our Fruit and Seed Soda Bread with lashings of butter and a cup of tea
