Whenever I’m stuck for things to do on a rainy day with my little boys I always find myself venturing into the kitchen. Cooking with the kids is fun – even if it sometimes gets a little bit messy. Plus trying out new recipes is a great way to introduce kids to new foods and encourage them to try different tastes and textures.
Last weekend we whipped up a batch of these delicious chewy banana and honey muffins. They were easy to make together and included quite a few jobs which are perfect for little hands to help with. Our bananas were extremely well mashed, the mixture well stirred and I turned a blind eye to the slightly more than a delicate sprinkle of brown sugar on top of the muffin mixture. However, the final result was delicious and I only managed to stash a few away for tea-time treats later in the week.
