Let’s face it we all indulged a bit too much over the festive season. Whether it was the extra few roast potatoes or snaffling the last of the mince pies December was a month when we indulged and let our hair down. January however is the month for new year’s resolutions as we tighten our belts (financially and aesthetically!) and aim to look and feel better for the coming year.
Although it sounds all doom and gloom healthy eating doesn’t mean a single lettuce leaf on a plate, there are loads of delicious meals you can whip up that are good for you and won’t have you racing for the biscuits.
Make sure you start the day right and have a good breakfast. You could make some Bircher Muesli and bring it with you to the office along with some Apple and Walnut Yoghurts as a good snack or a two-course breakfast!
Plan ahead and bring snacks and lunch into work so you don’t panic buy something less healthy when one o’clock rolls around. We love this Roasted Beetroot and Feta Salad followed by an Oatmeal Muffin to satisfy any sweet cravings. Also don’t forget to snack, Pitta Triangles are a great alternative to crisps and you can dip them into whatever takes your fancy!
Round off a very healthy day with Baked Fish with Tomatoes and Herbs or Chargrilled Chicken with Mango Salsa for meals that are full of flavour but won’t break the calorie bank.
That doesn’t sound too bad now does it?
