As well as gearing up for Spring with lots of exciting new recipe inspiration, the Real Food team are also looking forward to Fairtrade Fortnight which kicks off next week from 25 February to 10 March.
We’ll be going further by eating and cooking with lots of our favourite Fairtrade ingredients, including bananas, chocolate, green beans and even ice cream!
You too can take steps to look after the things you love and the people who grow them by supporting Fairtrade Fortnight.
Why not try a new product or recipe, such as a fine and fair dinner for four with our herby pot roasted chicken with garlic or a comforting provencale daube of beef. For a sweeter fair taste, try these delicious baked bananas with apricots.
Where possible, swap for Fairtrade varieties when you shop and take a step to support the communities of farmers and growers in developing countries – whether it’s switching your usual wine for a Fairtrade variety or simply treating yourself to a bar of Fairtrade chocolate.
