Whether you go for a deliciously crisp pizza or a spicy curry, having a takeaway on a Friday evening is a guilty pleasure for many of us but all those takeaways could leave you out of pocket. However, you can still enjoy your Friday night indulgence by cooking a healthier version from the comfort of your own home.
Making your favourite takeaway from home is a great way to keep it healthy and you can get the whole family involved and cooking together.
We Brits have long been enjoying a love affair with curry. Chicken Tikka Masala has even been called the new national dish. Our Chicken Balti with Mango is the perfect mix of spicy and sweet and is fantastic served with rice or naan bread. For those that prefer an Indian snack, our Spiced Sweet Potato Samosas are deliciously light and the perfect accompaniment to a curry.
Not everyone opts for Indian, Chinese takeaways are just as popular. Our Crispy Duck Noodles are a wonderful twist on the traditional duck and pancakes. Or our Sticky Chicken Sticks with Egg Fried Rice are perfect for a homemade Chinese, giving you the perfect blend of sticky and sweet.
Who doesn't love a pizza every now and then? The great thing about pizza is that you can add whatever toppings you like to your base. Our Mushroom and Ricotta Pizza is a grown up version of the traditional pizza - the creamy ricotta complements the earthy mushrooms perfectly. If you're catering for those who don't eat gluten, they can enjoy pizza too. Our Gluten Free Mini Pizzas with Onion and Sardine Topping are lip-smackingly tasty and can be enjoyed by everyone. If you like you can change the toppings to suit your taste and get the whole family involved in making their own pizza.
Staying in is definitely the new going out!
