To celebrate the launch of our customer recipe baking challenge, the Tesco Real Food team hosted an afternoon tea baking masterclass for some of our favourite foodie bloggers.
Held in a quaint, country-cottage setting at ‘Food at 52’ cookery school in London, the event was all about how to make sweet treats traditionally served with afternoon tea.
Our nine bloggers were split into two groups and, under the expert guidance of chefs John and Rachel, baked their way through six classic recipes. From Salted Caramel Shortbread to Black Forest Cupcakes, they worked together to produce some delicious treats, receiving expert advice from their leaders along the way.
After two hours of hard work, it was finally time for the group to enjoy the fruits of their labour. All the baked goodies were laid out on a table and served alongside some tasty traditional afternoon tea sandwiches. The bloggers got stuck and chatted away as they enjoyed a cuppa with their treats.
We want to thank all our bloggers for taking part in our fun-filled night of baking.
