I didn’t see it coming. It seems like only days ago that I was complaining about the chilly British summertime – and now suddenly it’s December. Christmas is definitely sneaking up on us.
So, it’s time to get organised. The festive season is wonderful, but it can also be exhausting. If you’re seeing a future filled with last-minute dashes to the shops, someone quietly using the last bit of sellotape right before you sit down to wrap presents, and many hours panicking about what to cook for guests – don’t panic, because Real Food is coming to your rescue.
There are easy steps you can take to make this Christmas a more relaxed affair. If you have a house full of family and no idea what to feed them (apart from turkey, of course), try the Christmas meal planner. It features a week’s worth of breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes, so there should be more than enough inspiration to start you off.
When you spot recipes you like the look of, just click ‘Save to binder’ to pop them straight into your very own Recipe Binder. You can even add notes to make the recipe your own – then come back to it whenever you’re ready.
Finally, remember that stocking the fridge doesn’t need to mean a tiring afternoon shopping any more. You can get everything you need on Tesco Grocery in the Christmas Zone, from easy party food, to the perfect turkey, to a well-deserved bottle of bubbly.
Get started on planning the food and drink now, and come Christmas Eve you’ll be the one relaxing with a mince pie. Just don’t forget to buy sellotape.
