Vacherin Cheese hero

Vacherin Mont D'Or is a unique cheese only available in winter, is made from cow's milk in the mountains of France and Switzerland, and sold in a little round box. The cheese has a thick pinkish crust, matt yellow paste and a runny rich voluptuous texture, with a rich but mild taste. It is so soft and creamy that it is best eaten with a spoon straight from the box. Vacherin is also the name of a meringue-layer dessert, packed with cream and fruit.

How to prepare
Serve at room temperature as part of a cheese board or spread on toast.
