The heart of the wheat grain. Wheat germ is usually removed when flour is milled to create white flour, but remains in wholegrain flour. It can be bought in its natural state or toasted. Sprinkle over breakfast cereals, add to smoothies or muffin recipes. Store in the fridge or freeze.
