I love to make up recipes and try new things, it usually stems from having no idea what to cook and then grabbing a mish mash of ingredients and attempting to make it work.
preheat the oven 180c. Peel the apple and chop into small cubes and dice the onion.
roll the pastry out for the top and bottom of the dish you are using (if you prefer to do just the top you can). Once all the pastry is rolled out grease your tin if you're not using a nonstick dish. place the bottom piece in.
brown the sauasges in your preffered way of cooking them.
Mix the stock, apple and herbs in a saucepan heat for 5 minutes over a medium heat adding the cornflour and stirring (you want the gravy to be quite thick so you may need to add more flour)
once the sausages are done chop them into 4 to 6 bits per sauasge and mix into the stock . leave to simmer for 10 minutes then pour into your dish.
brush your whisked egg or milk round the edge before placing the top on. Brush all over the top, you may want to crimp the edge with a fork.
place in the oven at 180c for 30 mins.
for the best pie, i Half cook mine and then leave it to set over night for eating the next day, but it's just as good cooked straight away.
