This turnover recipe is very easy to make, that is why it is my favourite.
Stew apples and caster sugar together till soft. Leave to cool.
Roll out pastry and cut into 6 large squares. Divide the apple filling into 6 portions. Place one portion in the centre of each piece of pastry. Fold the pastry diagonally to make a triangle. Moisten the edges and press to seal. Make tow cuts on the pastry a air vent.
Brush the turnover with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sugar. Transfe onto a baking tray. Bake in the centre of the oven (220C/50F / Gas 4 ) for 25-30 minutes.
