Asparagus's season may be short-lived - only 8 weeks - but these asparagus tips are a great way to make the most of them when you've got them.
Preheat the grill to high. Steam the asparagus tips for 5 minutes or until tender. Refresh in cold water and drain.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan, add the cream, mustard and half the Parmesan and bubble over a high heat for 2-3 minutes or until thickened slightly.
Spread the cooked asparagus over a flat ovenproof serving dish, drizzle over the cream sauce, scatter with the rest of the Parmesan and crumbs, a drizzle of oil, a good grating of nutmeg.
Season with salt and pepper and then grill for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and serve hot.
