I used to make these for my pals at work as a wee treat so they are popular with all ages. It‘s not that I stopped treating them, I just retired!

Put dry ingredients in a bowl, make a well in the centre. Cream butter sugar and eggs until blended. Kids can help with the stirring until they are ready to mash up the bananas with their bare ( well washed) hands. Add a little milk or water ( if allergic to dairy). The conistency should still be quite thick and lumpy. Use smaller cake cases to make dainty little muffins. Fill 3/4 full. makes 12 normal size, more if using small paper cake cases. Bake at 200 c for 20-25 mins.

Children love unzipping the bananas. I use very over-ripe bananas for the squish factor.
