Preheat the oven to 180C. Chop the carrots into rough chunks.
Place the carrots in the roasting tin and drizzle over the olive oil. Dash over the dried herbs.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes until deep orange in colour and soft to the touch.
Allow to cool for a minimum of 20 minutes before pureeing in a food processor, adding some water if necessary. The food can then be portioned and chilled/frozen as necessary.
Making baby food from scratch is wonderful, as unlike shop bought baby food you always know exactly what is in it. The food can also be portioned and frozen in as large batch as you wish.
Omit the herbs if your baby is below 8 months depending on advice from your midwife.
