Bacon and mushroom pasta recipe

First recipe that I cooked with my young son.. since then we have created a recipe book for him with all my recipes for him to keep and use always

Chop onion and cut up bacon with scissors and fry in olive oil for 5 minutes

Chop up mushrooms and crush garlic and add for 5 minutes

Cook pasta as directed on packet

add white wine and reduce and then add chopped tomatoes, peas, salt and pepper and mixed herbs, cook for 10 minutes

Add cream and cook for further 5 minutes, drain pasta and mix with sauce

Don't cook garlic on too high a heat otherwise it will taste bitter

  • 400g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 100g petit pois
  • 1 tsp Dried mixed herbs
  • 100ml white wine
  • 500g fusilli pasta
  • tbsp Olive oil
