Heat the oven to 200° C, 180° C fan, 400° F, gas 6.
Whisk egg whites until stiffly peaking and then gradually whisk in the sugar.
Put the sponge flan case onto a baking sheet, spoon on the jam. Place ice cream on top of jam and spoon over the meringue to completely cover the ice cream.
Bake for 10 minutes or until light brown!
