Dad, Cooking Christmas dinner for his three girls
I found a great way to bring a little extra taste to your greens.
First of all put the Brussels in boiling water for a couple of minutes, then I sliced the cabbage in to small strips and then added this to the boiling water for two more minutes. I then took it straight off the heat and plunged it into ice water. While this was cooling I chopped up some bacon and fried till crispy. I then drained of the greens and mixed them with the bacon, added a few twists of freshly grinned salt and pepper and warm through. Then served straight away, it soon dispersed.
