my kids love making smoothies and milkshakes at home and its a good way to get kids trying new fruits and get intake of calcium and vitamins etc. they make a berries smoothie which tends to be quite thick so i suggested adding a fruit which will make it less thick and we only had oranges so we added it and it tasted great.
wash, peel and cut the fruit into reasonable size for the blender, taking out all pips.
place all the fruit into a blender and blend until smooth.
pour into tall glasses.
place in the fridge and drinkwhen cold.
to serve straight away add ice cubes into the blender with the fruit.
you can use just berries, but adding oranges gives the smoothie a light texture.
