Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, approximately 15 minutes. Once cooked drain well.

Add the butter and cabbage and mash well.

Leave the mixture to cool slightly before moulding into cake shapes. Shallow fry the cakes on both sides until crispy and golden brown.
