This recipe was given to me by my son, he used to make it all the time at university.
Put the bacon on to grill, while grilling bacon peel, core and dice Butternut Squash. Mix up a pint of vegetable stock, add squash, bring to the boil and leave to simmer for approx. 20 minutes. When soft put in a blender with cream, chilli powder seasoning then blitz until smooth. Chop bacon into small pieces, put soup into bowls and sprinkle bacon on top.
Add or delete chilli powder according to your taste. If you don't like chilli or have any chilli powder you can use five spices. If you don't have any cream you can always add some potatoes to thicken.
