Add the cauliflower, broccoli, onion, garlic, nutmeg, stock and milk to a pan, bring to the boil, then simmer for 20-25 mins
After 10 mins start grilling chipolatas and once cooked cut into thin slices.
When main soup is cooked, blend with a liquidiser or stick blender.
Pour into bowls, add cheese to bowls, add sliced chipolatas on top.
Add salt/pepper and adjust garlic quantity to personal preference. Serve with buttered toast or French bread. Can also be made without the chipolatas for a vegetarian alternative (pictured).
