Everybody loves cup cakes. Iced cup cakes with cherries on top are always my children's favourite.
Place 12 paper cup cake cases in patty tins
Cream butter and caster sugar till light and fluffy. Add in the beaten eggs. Gently fold in the the self raising flour.
Divide the cake mixture between the 12 cup cake cases. Bake in the oven 180C/ 350F/ Gas 4 for 20-25 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack. Mix icing sugar with 1 teaspoon of water. Ice the cupcakes. Decorate each cake with half a cherry
Food colouring can be added to the icing to make the icing into different colour.
