My family like this pie for a mid week meal. Delicious and heart warming.
Mix sliced mushrooms with the chicken in white sauce. Place in a deep pie dish
Roll out pastry to 2 cm. thickness. Place the pastry on the pie dish to cover the the top. Trim off the excess pastry. Make a vent in the centre. Brush with beaten egg.
Bake the pie in the centre of the oven (220/425F /Gas 7) for 25-30 minutes till the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
