Pre-heat the oven to 190° C.
Place the chicken drumsticks and figs in a large mixing bowl. Coat the chicken and figs with the oil using your hands, then season. Arrange the chicken drumsticks in a casserole dish, then roll the figs in the sesame seeds. Place the figs in and around the chicken drumsticks.
Roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes until the chicken is golden-brown in colour over and cooked through; the juices running clear when a skewer is inserted.
Remove from the oven and allow to stand for a few minutes before serving.
