Preheat the oven to 1600C/3250F/Gas Mark3. Put the Flora Cuisine and golden syrup into a large microwaveable bowl (big enough to add the oats later).Heat on low for 20-30 seconds in the microwave until warm and melted when stirred.

Meanwhile weigh out the oats add the sugar and salt then grate the lemon zest. Use a square 22cm (9 inch) non-stick baking tin and wipe the inside with Flora Cuisine. Add the dry mix and lemon zest to the warm wet mixture and mix well. Tip into the tin and spread evenly.

Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown. When removed from the oven loosen around the edge with a flat plastic cooking knife.

After no more than 5 minutes mark and divide into 16 pieces and lift out carefully onto a wire rack to cool.

Serving suggestion

As an extra special treat dip and half cover the flapjacks in melted chocolate.
