Put all ingredients, except dessicated coconut, into a bread machine. Press dough programme.

Mix dessicated coconut with 40g butter, 25g egg and 50g sugar.

At the end of the programme, tip the dough out, knead well then cut into half. Roll out each half into thin oval.

Sprinkle the coconut paste in step 2, then roll up and make a plait. Leave in a warm place for one hour.

Bake in a preheated oven, 180 °C, for 35 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
