Pre-heat the oven to Gas 6, 200ºC, fan 180ºC.
Wash and peel the potatoes then slice into roughly 1cm slices. Layer the potatoes in a shallow ovenproof dish and arrange the pork chops on top. Season with salt and pepper then pour over the cream.
Carefully place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, turning the chops after 30 minutes. Ensure the meat is cooked before serving, returning the dish to the oven if necessary.
