Cucumber is the perfect main ingredient for a smoothie and the addition of ripe pear, spinach and sweet honey make for a truly thirst-quenching and delicious smoothie.
Put the cucumber in a blender or juicer with 100ml (3½fl oz) water and whizz until combined. Add the remaining ingredients with a pinch of salt and whizz again until completely smooth. Serve immediately, over ice.
