this recipe has been handed down through my family for years i come from a fishing village called lossiemouth where my family were always tied to the fishing all the way to my great grandmother who was what we call a fish wifie all her life she worked in the preparation of salting heron fish for transport it is her recipe i would like to pass on to others to enjoy

glaze onions with a nob of butter or marge add potatoes and water bring to boil simmer for 15 minutes add milk and yellow fish simmer for another 5 minutes if required add some cornflour milk paste to thicken salt and pepper to taste

dont let the milk boil
