First wash lentils and keep it in water for 10 minutes and till you can chop onion and tomato in small pieces

Now, Put the lentils in cooker with water which should be 2 times of the lentils in volume. Put in on gas for another 10 minutes and add salt and turmeric powder.

Till then you can take a pan and put it on gas and then put the oil and cumin powder in it and add coriander and other species and little salt.

Now add the chopped onion and stir till red and then add tomatoes. Just take care of your cooker and when you listen two whistle from it, then remove the vapours by holding the centre knob up for little while.

Now add whole of stuff from cooker to pan and add water as per your choice of liquidity. Let it be boiling for another 5 minutes and you can serve with rice or Chapati, wtc.

Pan size should be sufficient to contain the all volume of your Lentils and water.

  • 2 Chopped Onions (Medium Size)
  • 2 Chopped tomatoes (Medium Size)
  • Pinch Cumin seeds
  • Pinch Curry powder
  • Pinch Coriander seed
  • Pinch Garam masala
  • Pinch Mango Powder
  • Spoon Butter or Oil or Ghee
  • As per Taste Salt
  • As per Taste Chilli powder
  • 3 Litre Water
  • Pinch Turmeric powder
