apple, mint & beef meatballs recipe

finely dice one small/medium onion and brown off in a small amount of hot oil. Once translucent drain any oil and set to one side to cool

grate one medium/large apple (skin on)

add the apple, onion and dried herbs to the mince and mix together making sure all ingredients are thoroughly integrated.

divide the mixture into 12 golfball sized meatballs and brown off in a lightly greased pan

place in an ovenproof dish and keep warm in the oven, gasmark 5 for 15-20 mins

*any mince can be used in this recipe *can be served with salad and mayo or with pasta and a tomato sauce with a sprinkling of cheese.
