Garlic Cheese Scones
Customer recipe by Victoria Ashley

This is a passed down recipe from my mother. It is so quick and easy to make that is why I like to make them with the kids.

Put the flour, salt, garlic and butter in a food processor with the chopper blade. Turn the processor on for about 10 seconds until the mixture resemble fine breadcrumbs.

Add the cheese. Add the milk gradually (while the processor still on) till the mixture form into a soft dough.

Turn the dough out onto a flour board. Roll out the dough to 2cm thickness. Cut scones out with a fluted cutter 7cm diameter.

Place the scone o a greased baking tin. Brush the top of the scone with egg yolk glaze. Bake towards the top of the oven 230C/450F/Gas 8 for 10 to 15 minutes.

Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with butter.

For special occasions serve with smoke salmon and cream cheese or garlic paprika prawns.
