i just love italian food but i have Coeliacs disease so i need a gluten free diet.

Prepare the Bolognese. Gently fry the onion, garlic and mixed herbs in the olive oil for 5 minutes to soften. Add the diced bacon and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Stir in the diced carrots, celery and pepper and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add the minced beef and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the passata.

Bring to a gentle simmer, cover and cook for 30 minutes until the sauce has thickened and reduced by about a third.

boil the Gluten free spaghetti in a pan of boiling water until cooked

Drain and serve in individual bowls topped with Bolognese Sauce and sprinkled with grated Parmesan

you do not need to add the parmesan on top if you dont want to

  • 1 Medium red onion (finely diced)
  • 2 Cloves of garlic (crushed)
  • 2 Rashers lean smoked back bacon (diced)
  • 2 Medium carrots (finely diced)
  • 2 Sticks celery (finely diced)
  • 1 Red pepper (seeds removed and very finely diced)
  • 500g/ 17oz Tomato passata
  • 225g/ 8oz Lean minced beef
  • 1 pack Gluten free spaghetti
  • 25g/ 1oz Parmesan Cheese (grated)
