Honey Joys

We made these all the time as kids growing up in Australia they are so easy and use ingredients you often have in the house. Now I make them with my 2 year old and 5 year old daughters. Lovely sticky treats.

Preheat oven to 150 degrees.

Line a 24 hole patty pan/muffin tray with paper cupcake cases.

Add the cornflakes to a large mixing bowl.

Melt butter, sugar and honey together in a saucepan. Stir continuously till it goes frothy. (This bit needs a grown up helper)

Pour the frothy honey goo into the large bowl and mix well into the cornflakes with a large spoon. (This is the fun bit)

Now use a dessert spoon to quickly fill the 24 cupcake cases.

Bake in a slow oven at 150 degrees for 10mins.

Now cool on a tray before munching up these sticky treats. If any survive store in an airtight container...but they never last a day in our house :)

Best Kids Bit: While waiting for them to bake in the oven get a spoon and scrape the leftover honey goo off the mixing bowl an eat. It‘s a bit like honey toffee yum yum...But make sure the goo has cooled first.
