Sweet semolina Halva recipe

Melt the butter in a saucepan then add the green cardamoms. Mix in the semolina and stir on a medium heat until it is a light golden colour. Add the gram flour, stir until it’s combined.

Add the sugar, gradually stir in water and continue stirring on a high heat until it becomes thickened and smooth. Serve warm.

  •         175g/6oz ground semolina
  •         2tbsp gram flour
  •         225g/8oz caster sugar
  •         2tbsp ground almonds
  •         2tbsp raisins
  •         500ml/17 fl oz water
