Peel and slice bananas lengthways.
Melt butter in non-stick frying pan and add bananas cut side down. Sprinkle on sugar and fry for 1 minute then turn.
Cook until sugar has started to caramalise and the bananas are brown.
Pour on tequila OR brandy - this may or may not flambe at this stage. Cook for 30 seconds.
Add cream, lime juice and a merest pinch of cinnamon.
Serve with a generous helping of vanilla ice cream.
