I had been regularly buying a hazelnut Blondie from a well known retailer but it was ridiculously expensive for what you received. So I decided to try to replicate this recipe myself and here it is! My husband says it‘s much nicer than the original!!!
Melt the butter, chocolate and sugar slowly in a pan until they're melted together.
Pour the mixture into a large mixing bowl and stir in the flour, eggs, ground hazelnuts and roughly chopped hazelnuts.
Pour the mixture into a large non-stick, lined brownie tin and bake in a fan oven at 160 degrees C for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack. Cuts into 8-12 portions. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or cold as a tea time treat.
Don‘t use ready chopped hazelnuts, the Blondies tase so much nicer if freshly chopped hazelnuts are used
