I used this recipe the Queen's Silver Jubilee street party. I think this recipe will work just as well after 35 years for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee street party
Sift flour and cocoa into a bowl, Rub in the butter. Add in sugar and chopped Tesco finest chocolate. Add milk and mix into a soft dough.
Turn out ht e dough onto a flour board. Knead the dough till smooth. Roll out to about 1cm thickness. Cut into 18 rounds with 4 cm diameter cutter.
Transfer onto a greased baking tin. Bake toward the top of the oven at 230C/450F/ Gas 8 for 8-10 minutes
Cool on a wire rack. When completely cool, split each scone into half and sandwich with clotted cream and strawberries.
Dust with icing sugar.
For speed use a food mixer to rub in the butter to flour.
