Cook the eggs in a saucepan of boiling water for 12 minutes.

Drain and run under cold water for 1 minute. Peel and cut in half, lengthways. Scoop out the boiled yolk and finely chop. Position the cooked whites cut side down on a serving plate.

Sprinkle the finely chopped yolk at the top to make hair. Use the parsley leaves as ears to the side. Use the tomato ketchup and the tip end of a teaspoon to draw smiley faces on the egg whites.

Serve immediately.

If serving vulnerable groups, elderly people, toddlers, pregnant women and people who are unwell, cook eggs until the whites and yolks are solid.
