Cook the potatoes in a pan over a moderate heat for fifteen minutes, drain and cool. Slice the potatoes and place them in a casserole dish.
In a saucepan add the butter and nutmeg and soften over a moderate heat. Add the pepper, salt, chopped chives, eggs and milk. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and add the cubed reblochion cheese and strips of ham. Cook in a pre-heated oven 160°C for 45 minutes and serve as an accompaniment or lunchtime dish.
