Fruit and nut cake recipe

This is my mother‘s recipe. She made this for any kind of tea parties. I think it iwill be good for the jubilee street party too

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, set aside. In another large bowl mix egg, sugar, oil and vanilla together.

Add in flour, chopped apple, nut, raisin and sour cream. Mix well. Pour the miture ibinto a large loaf tin. Bake at Gas 4, 180C/ 350F for an hour till it is firm to the touch.

Leave the cake to cool on a wire rack. Dust with icing sugar.

Add lemon zest or rind for the eaxtra flavour.
