Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco Ragu

Our family has spaghetti bolognese on a regular basis, it's one of our staples! This is just a unique twist on a classic recipe. ;-)

Heat the oven to 120 C.

Add the olive oil to a large oven-proof pan and slowly soften the onions and garlic for 2 minutes on the hob. Then add the carrots, celery, aubergine and mushrooms and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Add the beef and sausage meat and cook for a further 2 minutes until lightly browned. Then add the dried Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt and pepper, followed by the tinned tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the red wine, cover the oven-proof dish with a lid and put in the oven. Cook for 3 hours, but take out to stir every 30 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of cooking, add the fresh basil and parsley.

Serve with Tesco's finest Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco, Tesco's finest parmesan cheese and Tesco's tear-and-share garlic bread. Delightful!
