Ginger biscuits recipe

This is my family favourite biscuit recipe. It is spicy and delicious

Sift flour and spices into a mixer. Add in margarine, sugar ,melted treacle and egg to form a stiff dough.

Roll out the dough very thinly and cut into 30 round biscuits. bake in the oven for 10 minutes 180C/350F/Gas 4.

Leave to cool on a wire rack.

  • 100g Self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground mixed spice
  • 50g margarine
  • 40g Caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Black treacle
  • 1/2 beaten egg
