Funnily enough it was McDonald's that made me want to find a gluten free recipe for my favourite snack!! They had brought back their limited edition Mozzarella Dippers and I was gutted I couldn't eat them, so decided to create my own!!
Cut the mozzarella sticks in half and freeze for at least an hour on baking paper on a baking tray.
Get some prepping bowls ready:
1 with the GF flour
1 with a beaten egg
1 with the GF bread crumbs and parmesan cheese
Take the frozen cheese sticks out of the freezer and take them through the prep bowls as follows:
Flour - egg - bread crumbs.
Place back on the baking paper and freeze for at least 10 minutes.
Heat oven to 200 °C.
Grease a foil covered baking tray.
Cook the mozzarella sticks for 3 minutes on one side then flip and bake for another 3 minutes. Keep an eye on them!!
If you don't want to cook them all, just freeze them already breaded for next time!
